This Funzing Experience:
Join Jude, an experienced photographer & teacher, for an inspiring and creative, Big Cat Wildlife Photography workshop with attentive & encouraging tuition. Immerse yourself in the animal world & develop your photography skills at a great Animal Conservation Park.

Entrance fee to the park is INCLUDED!

This conservation park offers close viewing platforms that give you the opportunity, whilst remaining safe, to be meters away from a pride of magnificent lions, Siberian Tigers, a White Tiger, Jaguars, very rare Siberian Leopards, Cheetahs, & some 400 other animal species - including rare Red Pandas, Lemurs & Meerkats.

The workshop is approximately four to five hours in length (including a lunch break) & is geared to absolute beginners through to experienced intermediates - with enjoyable individual challenges for all.

During this workshop, you'll focus on understanding how to use your camera & light to create emotive & dramatic images.

The workshop will cover:
  • Manual controls
  • Lens choice
  • Understanding Composition to create impact
  • Positioning yourself using light, looking for viewpoints
  • Varying angles
  • Rule of thirds, leading lines, dynamics & composing for balance
  • Choosing a subject distance
  • Creating meaning through composition
  • Understanding what is metering - which to choose & what to meter off to enable creative composition, working with light & colour.
If you've never photographed wildlife before, or would like to learn more about effective composition & light, this workshop is a great opportunity and the skills learnt can be transferred across to all your photography.

The cost includes both entry fee into the park & tuition. There's a good inexpensive restaurant & cafe on site (lunch and snacks are not included in the price).

Suggested Equipment:
  • DSLR or Mirrorless camera + whatever lenses you have (this workshop if not suitable for compact or bridge cameras)
  • Please bring a lens that has some zoom - an 18-55 kit lens is fine for the closer animals but you will definitely enjoy the benefit of a lens with a zoom - a telephoto lens (70-200 70-300 for example)
IMPORTANT! Please bring as many charged up batteries as you have to ensure maximum time for taking photos.
