Meet Carine:
Hi, great to meet you. I can’t wait to welcome you to my MATANGO Supper Club where a taste explosion awaits!
But first a bit about me and my background...
Growing up in Africa, food and tradition were very important to me and my family and I soon learnt to use local produce and spices to create tasteful Cameroonian dishes. At age fourteen I went to live with my Dad in the South of France and this opened up a whole new world of tastes and cultures. The experience was so inspirational that I was soon creating fusion dishes from the two cultures.
My next move was to the Perigord region where I cultivated my knowledge of Asian food from a friend who originated from Laos, along with a love of Bergerac wine and other delicatessen, well known in the region.
Ireland was my next ‘port of call’ and I fell in love with all the traditions and produce that this charming Celtic isle had to offer.
However, destiny was calling me and soon after I settled in London with my Swedish husband and gorgeous daughter and this is where InspiringChefs was created – but this is another conversation for the supper club evening!
