Meet Cinzia:
Cinzia D'Ambrosi is an award-winning photojournalist, founder of the Hate Hurts project and the not for profit Photojournalism Hub. Cinzia's work is regularly featured and commissioned by Amnesty International. Currently, the Hate Hurts project is in a solo exhibition touring in the Czech Republic for an entire year for a national campaign run by Amnesty International Czech Republic. Among others, her work has been commissioned by the charity Protection Approaches (UK), Shelter (UK), Per I diritti Umani (Italy), Save the Children (UK). Her photo stories have been published by Der Spiegel, National Housing Federation, European Council on Refugee and Exile, BBC, Vice, Huffington Post, Metro, Big Issue, New Internationalist, Oxford University, National Theatre, Shelter, Save the Children UK, Warscapes to name a very few. Among accolades received, Hate Hurts was selected for the European Month of Photography in Bulgaria (2018) and won an Award from the Photographers Gallery in London (2017). The short film Prejudice and us received Best Campaign Award from Hammersmith United Charities (2016), the photo book Transitional was nominated by the publisher Dewi Lewis (2014), selected for the Athens Photo Festival (2015) and included in the Hellenic Centre for Photography Permanent Collection. Her photography work has received support from Arts Council England, Big Local Trust, Hammersmith United Charities, Amnesty International Hungary, Amnesty International Czech and Amnesty International Hamburg.
