Jasleen has been working for the longest time, juggling different profiles in various kinds of projects and set-ups. Over the years her skill sets have evolved from being an executive producer on television shows to being a producer on a film to becoming a HomeChef representing indian and kashmiri food.
" I understand flavours and am able to recreate them because I have grown up eating them not only out of my mums kitchen but also from my neighbours, friends and families. Every time I taste something I have made, I try and go back to that taste that inspired me to cook in the first place. Every year, I go back to Kashmir to get in touch not only with those flavours again but to explore further….. In my own small way through my food and varied experiences I strive to get more than food to the table. Also, my objective now is to research and document a cuisine and a culture that is slowly fading away. "
Currently, she does pop ups, catering and ties ups under the name Namak Swaad Anusar. She also has a weekly cooking show on a digital platform.
