This Funzing Experience:
Come along and join this one-off Beginners workshop designed to introduce adults to the fascinating world of ballet.

Spend the morning learning and dancing 10 of the steps underpinning this beautiful and timeless art form, performed to some of ballet's most magical and enchanting music.

You will have the opportunity to learn how to artistically piece these moves together to captive your audience and perform like a true corps de ballet. On top of all this, you will go home with professional photos of your experience, the perfect piece of memorabilia!

What to bring

- Loose clothing
- Water and a snack
- Ballet shoes are best, otherwise bare feet are fine
- Enthusiasm!


This class is suitable for those with no prior experience of ballet and those looking to enhance their technique and to develop a solid foundation for their ballet practice. Please note that photo taking is optional, you can opt out of being in the photos either beforehand or on the day. Experience includes:
11:00 – 11:45: Arrive and warm up with ballet barre, a series of exercises to tone, strengthen and sculpt the body performed to beautiful classical music

11:45 – 13.00: Centre work introducing you to 10 steps that underpin all ballet repertoire and variations. You will establish a solid understanding of the foundations of ballet and better understand how our musicality and artistry helps us to master the art of storytelling and movement

13.00 – 13.20: A short break and a chance to take individual and group photographs of your new moves!

13.20 – 14.10: We will then have an opportunity to practice combining the steps we have learned to form sequences and dance routines, taking inspiration from iconic ballets such as Swan Lake and The Sleeping Beauty

14.10 – 14.30: We will close the session with a cool down, using a combination of Pilates techniques and yoga stretches to re-center ourselves and leave us feeling loose, refreshed and energised!
