Learn Spanish with Mexican mezcal tasting – 5 de mayo

Mezcal is a traditional Mexican liquor with a history that goes back to the Aztecs. In this 5 de Mayo celebration special event you will have the chance to taste artisan mezcals from independent brands who work with tiny Mexican distilleries. You'll learn a bit about the history and production of mezcal and pick up some Spanish phrases as we identify the tasting notes. Delicious!  

The event is suitable for complete beginners and all with up to 6 months of learning. 

This taster night will give you a glimpse into our unique approach. Aimed for anyone interested in starting Spanish and finding out more about our online and in person classes and social Spanish walks.  On the night you can secure your spot for our courses with an exclusive discount.

If you know a bit of Spanish already: 

• Practise conversation and listening skills. 

• Practise a wider range of Spanish expressions.

6-6.30pm Introductions and practise the lingo

7.20-7.40pm Learn more about the classes and Q and A with our students.

FAQs 

Do I need to speak Spanish before the event? 

No, no prior knowledge is needed. This event is designed  for complete beginners and all beginners with up to 6 months of learning. 

Do I need to prepare anything before I attend? 

You will have more fun if you prepare. You have the option to familiarise yourself with the vocabulary list provided by email once you book. You will gain access to use our app course to learn the words and say hi to attendees in our event chat group set up before the event. 

What if I am an early intermediate level speaker?  

You can still gain from the experience if you have an early intermediate level (B1). We will give you a chance to practise more conversation skills and speak with others with a higher level. Simply indicate this in reply to the welcome email you receive.
