Matthew Shribman is a scientist and environmentalist
with a 1st Class MChem from the University of Oxford, on a mission to make
science as accessible as oxygen.
He has given talks for the likes of TEDx London, UN Ops,
London Science Museum, sold out solo science shows across the UK, and performed
at festivals like Bestival and WOMAD.
Matthew’s fun and accessible style has helped his online show, Science In
The Bath, to gain over 25M video views online, and to grow a following of over
75,000 people, ranging teenagers and grandparents, science PhD students and people
who hated science at school.
Matthew’s podcast, A Piece of String, is supported by legacy
BBC producer and QI co-founder, John Mitchinson, and his collaborations have
taken him across the world, from crossing the Andes to farming in Benin to
sailing across the North Sea.
Matthew is also a musician, and his music, now under the name Ash Lad, has had
the support of The Times, The Guardian and BBC Radio 1.
