Hey all!
My name is Charlotte and I have been running my School of Junk sewing courses for over 6 years now, from my studio at 2 Dale Street (under her sustainable fashion shop, JUNK) in the Northern Quarter, Manchester.
Me and my small team, primarily 23-year-old Jessie Stringer, lead the workshops for different ability levels, from complete beginner to experienced sewers.
It gives such a feeling of empowerment by creating something for yourself.
The aim of the workshops is not only to teach people to learn to sew but to educate people on how they can save money and have less of an environmental impact by Upcycling clothes from old textiles.
