Meet Dan:

Hi.. After years travelling the world in a career in international education, I decided to put roots back down in my beloved area of East London and swap from Higher Education to Primary. I've spent a lot of time promoting my area to international audiences of potential students and partner institutions when working at the local University, and to young local schoolchildren who often don't know much about their area. 
  
I love my area with a real passion. I love history's little markers, I love learning new stories from my homelands, and I find beauty in the old and the new. I have university qualifications at Bachelor and Masters level in the Cultural Studies area, and I hold current DBS certification.

I recently started easterndrifts.com, a blog and independent Tour Guide operation specialising in guided walks in the Thames Gateway region - from East London's Docklands all the way down the Thames to the estuary. It's a region fast going through changes, and it's my mission to tell its story...
