Professor Richard Wiseman has been described by one Scientific American columnist as  ‘….the most interesting and innovative experimental psychologist in the world today’. He has written several best selling popular psychology books (including The Luck Factor, Quirkology, and 59 Seconds), and has sold over 3 million copies worldwide.

His YouTube channels have received over 500 million views and are some of the most watched channels in the UK. Richard was listed in the Independent On Sunday’s top 100 people who make Britain a better place to live, and has acted as a consultant for Derren Brown, Brain Games, Your Bleeped Up Brain, and Mythbusters.

Richard began his working life as a professional magician and is a Member of the Inner Magic Circle. He completed his PhD at the University of Edinburgh and currently holds Britain’s only Professorship in the Public Understanding of Psychology (University of Hertfordshire).  His research has been published in some of the world’s leading academic journals, and he has delivered keynote addresses to organisations across the world, including The Swiss Economic Forum, Google and Amazon.
