Meet Jennie:
Hi my name is Jennie and I am the founder and Managing Director of Absolute Bollywood. Prior to Absolute Bollywood, I was the Managing Director and Co Founder of Bollywood Dance London for over two years.
My interest in dancing started from a young age and my training at Syliva Young Theatre School allowed me to try out lots of different styles. Dance has always been my passion, particularly Bollywood dancing and my passion for this style grew out of an array of influences in my life.
I have taught Bollywood dancing for the past three years in major dance studios as well as internationally. Captivated by the art of belly dance in recent years, I have introduced this seductive and sultry style into my repertoire and I currently teach a specialised course called BellyBolly at Danceworks in Mayfair.
I have received numerous dance teaching qualifications including Impact Dance teacher training, YMCA ETM Qualification (Level 2 Part 1) and Belly Dance Teacher Training.
I have also performed publicly and privately at numerous venues in and outside of London and provided choreography for several large scale performances in styles including Bollywood, Belly dance, Street, Soca and Reggaeton. Notable performances include the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony, the Asian Music Awards at Wembley Arena, Russell Howard’s Good News, a guest appearance on BBC Newsnight, Diwali on The Square, Move It and the Mayor of London’s Bollywood Extravaganza. I also have backing dance experience for acts including Kanika Kapoor, Arjun, Golkartz, Ash King & the Vyas brothers.
I do hope you'll come along to one of our amazing Bollywood dance experiences and try out this style of dancing for yourself!
