Meet Rob Drummond:
Dr Rob Drummond is a senior lecturer in linguistics at Manchester Metropolitan University and head of youth language at the Manchester Centre for Youth Studies. He specialises in accents, dialects, urban youth language and identity. His ongoing research includes a project looking at the language of young people who have been excluded from school, a study into the accents and dialects of Greater Manchester, and the language of Grime. He has recently published a book on his research with young people: Researching Urban Youth Language and Identity (Palgrave Macmillan)
Rob also writes for A Level English Language, and is co-author (with Dan Clayton) of the recently published Language Diversity and World Englishes (CUP).
