Jez Hughes has worked full time as a shaman in Britain for over a decade and teaches a practitioner training in the woods of Sussex. He has worked with many indigenous tribes across the world, and has close ties to the Wixarika (Huichol) nation of North, central Mexico. He experienced 18 years of debilitating mental illness before embracing a shamanic path to heal himself. The story of this 'shamanic sickness' is documented in his book 'The Heart of Life- Shamanic Initiation & Healing in the Modern World.' His work has been featured in the national press and on BBC radio.
