Meet David Canter:
Professor David Canter is Internationally known for developing the new area of Investigative Psychology, having contributed to over 100 police investigations and given evidence of government enquiries. He’s published over 30 books on the topic as well as hundreds of academic articles. He has been called the father of forensic psychology in the UK. He contributes to newspapers as well as many documentaries, having written and presented a six-part TV series called Mapping Murder. His talks around the world are highly regarded for being lively, informative and engaging. His book Criminal Shadows about his early work as a ‘profiler’ and subsequent development of Investigative Psychology won the Golden Dagger and Anthony Awards for crime non-fiction.
He is Emeritus Professor at the University of Liverpool and a Fellow of major professional organisations in the U.K. and USA.
