Spend the morning learning and dancing 10 key steps that lie at the heart of every iconic ballet; performed to some of ballet's most magical and enchanting music.
We will begin with a warm up and a complete ballet barre. Barre is a series of exercises to tone, strengthen and sculpt the body - performed to beautiful classical music or instrumental music of your choice (let us know when you book)!
We will then teach you 10 steps that underpin all ballet repertoire and variations. You will establish a solid understanding of the foundations of ballet and better understand how our musicality and artistry helps us to master the art of storytelling and movement
We will practice combining the steps we have learned to form sequences and dance routines, taking inspiration from iconic ballets such as Swan Lake and The Sleeping Beauty. We will close the session with a cool down, using a combination of Pilates techniques and yoga stretches to re-center ourselves and leave us feeling loose, refreshed and energised!
Read LessYou will leave having discovered a bit more about the beautiful world of ballet. Yes, you will likely pick up some foundational terminology and steps; but most importantly, this is an amazing opportunity to explore your musicality, artistry and individual style and have a lot of fun! There is the option to do a mini performance at the end which we can virtually record for you to take away as the perfect piece of memorabilia :).
We are always happy to cater to your requests - if you would like a longer workshop or a particular time or day - simply message us and let us know. The workshop can be booked individually or can be attended by a group of friends (simply book one ticket, but message us to let us know how many of you are showing up :)).
