Get a real feel for how our Oil Painting courses run by joining one of our regular classes. Led by one of our experienced tutors, this relaxed and inspiring session lets you experience the authentic atmosphere of our weekly lessons.
You’ll be introduced to the key principles of working with oils, including how to mix colours, handle brushes, and use mediums to control drying time and texture. You’ll learn about the traditional process of building a painting in layers—from underpainting and blocking in shapes to developing detail and refining form. Whether you're new to oil painting or transitioning from another medium, this class provides a solid foundation in technique while encouraging your creative expression.
In your class you're welcome to work on a subject of your choice. Our tutor will guide you throughout the session, offering personalised tips, demonstrations, and one-on-one support. With no more than 10 students per class, you’ll receive plenty of individual attention.
