Hello :) We're Sam and Diana, co-creaters of M.Y.O.  M.Y.O is an arts and crafts space for adults, where you can “Make Your Own” creative ideas come to life, regardless of exp... More Info »
This Funzing Experience:

In this popular 3 part handmade pottery series with M.Y.O, you'll learn how to make pinch pots - no experience required and it's BYOB.

"I'd recommend this to anyone - from a beginner like me, to more experienced who is looking for a fun and relaxing experience" - Lipsheon

You'll mould earthenware clay, smooth it and paint it, ending up with 3-4 unique pinch pots of different shapes and sizes. They'll look great in your home or as a wonderful gift! The £80 covers all 3 sessions.

The process is as follows:
Session 1: Mould earthenware clay into your basic shapes - feel free to experiment!
Session 2 - 1 week later: Allow your pinch pots to dry and then to come by again to re-shape them 1 week later (see below for dates). This step ensures that the pieces adopt the ideal shape and smoothness you desire - it is the perfection stage. After this we let it dry out and then kiln fire it (1st firing) to dry it out completely. After the kiln firing, it will then be ready for painting and decorating!
Session 3 - 1 week later: This session is about decorating the now kiln fired pinch pots in colours of your choosing. We have a wide variety of paints you can use on the ceramics. After it's painted, we will glaze and then kiln fire it again (2nd firing) and ta da - done! Your pinch pots will then be made available for collection.

If you book onto the Wednesday September 4th session (6-9pm), the other 2 sessions will be on Wednesday 11th (6.30 - 9pm) and Wednesday 18th (6.30-9pm). So there is a gap of 1 week between each session, with the 2nd and 3rd session starting at 6.30pm.

There is a similar pattern to the other dates - 3 consecutive weeks, with session 1 starting at 6pm and session 2 and 3 starting at 6.30pm.

If you end up not being able to make the 3rd session (the painting one) - we can figure out another time to catch up, don't worry! We advise you ensure you can come on the 1st and 2nd one.

You’ll have lots of fun, get your hands dirty, learn some nifty pinch pot techniques and feel the mindfulness effects of being creative while playing with clay - it is amazing!
