This Funzing Experience:

In this workshop we will explore how to build a strong case for any side of an argument in a debate.

More than simply preparing a presentation a debate speaker must both inform their audience of a problem and provide them a solution all in one with enough evidence and emotional weight to motivate a listener to vote, donate or even buy the argument or plan you are making.

Meet your Coach

Surya is a qualified solicitor who regularly works with global household names in the technology, financial and healthcare sectors. Specialising in employment law, he advises senior stakeholders in international businesses on complex legal and commercial issues ranging from discrimination risks to cross-border legal issues, as well as litigating disputes in front of the Employment Tribunal. Underpinning his work is his extensive advocacy experience as a public speaker and debater, skills from which he now regularly utilises in a professional context. This experience includes competing in and adjudicating debating events at the highest level around the world, including the European and World Debating Championships (both at school and university level).

Venue

Food and drink available at the venue. The workshop contains a 45 minute lunchbreak for attendees to get some food from the bar.

Please don't bring external food or dink into the venue for consumption.
